The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) is an internationally oriented community of individuals from diverse backgrounds, linguistic traditions and professional experience who share an interest in science communication and editing.
Dr. Armen Yuri Gasparyan has been involved in clinical research on cardiovascular issues in inflammatory disorders since 1994, and got his PhD degree in 2002. He was a trainer of English speaking medical students (2003-2008) and got an academic title of associate professor of medicine in 2006.
Since 2007, he has been post-doctoral research fellow in thrombosis and cardiovascular rheumatology in the UK. As a clinical lecturer, he delivered lectures on the whole course of internal medicine, developed evidence-based clinical guidelines for general practitioners and a textbook on internal medicine. Over the past four years, he also delivered lectures on science editing in the UK, Turkey, Iran, Spain and Russia.
He is a regular reviewer at The Lancet, Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis Research, Rheumatology (Oxford), Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism, Current Pharmaceutical Design and some other indexed journals.
He is a guest editor of Current Pharmaceutical Design, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Inflammation and Allergy - Drug Targets, member of editorial board of Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis Research, Vascular Health and Risk Management, Rheumatology International, and Current Vascular Pharmacology.
He joined the World Association of Medical Editors in 2008 and the European Association of Science Editors in 2009.
