The Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) is an independent,
international research institute. Its mission is to support
decision-making and induce change towards sustainable development
around the world by providing integrative knowledge that bridges
science and policy in the field of environment and development. SEI is
based in Stockholm, Sweden, and has offices in Estonia, Thailand, UK
and US.
To the Climate and Energy Programme in Stockholm we are now looking for a
Managing Editor
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Day-to-day management of the new journal
Climate and Development.
• Coordinate thematic syntheses on climate change research for development.
• Assume editorial responsibility for newsletters, policy briefs and the Climate and Energy Programme website.
• Provide editorial support in producing research reports.
• Assist in developing a long-term communication strategy for the Climate and Energy Programme.
The
successful applicant will have an affinity with climate, energy and
development issues, excellent skills in editing scientific writing in
English, and be a native English speaker (or have similarly strong
command of written English).
