The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) is an internationally oriented community of individuals from diverse backgrounds, linguistic traditions and professional experience who share an interest in science communication and editing.
EASE holds a major Conference every three years. At each Conference a daily newsletter is produced which takes a light-hearted look at the day's proceedings. You can download these here to get a flavour of our activities. Well worth the effort: a quick browse by the President confirmed that 'La plus ca change, la plus c'est le meme chose'. Key questions in 1984: Do we publish too much? Is publication too easy? Does everything have to be in print? What has changed is the typeface: the Cambridge Conference Clarion, like several of its successors, was produced using a typewriter.
