How do you get to the main building of TUT?

Public transportation

From the airport - A city bus takes you to the city centre. Ask for the Tallinn Department Store (Kaubamaja) stop. It takes about 10-20 minutes. Opposite the Kaubamaja take trolley no 3 to Keemia (Chemistry) stop. It takes about half an hour.

From the seaport - Bus no 2 takes you to the city centre up to Kunstiakadeemia stop. It takes about 10 minutes. From the city centre, take trolley no 3 opposite Kaubamaja (Tallinn Department Store) or express bus no 11 to Keemia (Chemistry) stop. It takes about half an hour.

From the Old City, Trolley bus No 3 takes about 30 minute from the Kaubamaja (Department Store) stop to Keemia stop (Tallinn University of Technology). Trolley-buses run every 10 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays and every 15 minutes on Sundays.

An optional bus transfer package between the Conference hotels, the University, the Reception and the Conference Dinner will cost €20.  Tickets will be sold at the Registration desk.

The hotels, except for Kreutzwald and the Academic Hostel, are in the centre of Tallinn. It takes about 5-7 minutes from the Nordic Hotel Forum and Sokos Hotel Viru to get to the trolley-bus stop (Kaubamaja) and 10 minutes to get there from Park Inn Central Tallinn Hotel.  The Kreutzwald Hotel is half-way to the Conference venue. It takes 5 minutes to get to Endla stop where you take trolley-bus No 3 to Keemia stop.

A single ticket costs Euro 1, from the driver 1.60; a 10-ticket booklet costs Euro 8. You can also buy a 3-day card for Euro 6 or a 5-day card for Euro 7.

The Academic Hostel is within walking distance. 

 

Taxi

Taxi stands are located at major intersections and in front of larger hotels. Taxis can also be ordered by phone or hailed on the street. Starting fare: €2-5, price for 1 km is about €0.50-1.

Accommodation

Delegates should make their own arrangements.  There is a good range of hotels available in Tallinn.  Rooms have been reserved at the hotels listed below.  Be sure to tell the hotel that you are with the EASE Conference and should be charged the rates quoted below.

As the number of reserved rooms at these prices is limited, accommodation will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The Academic Hostel is a few minutes walk from the University.
