The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) is an internationally oriented community of individuals from diverse backgrounds, linguistic traditions and professional experience who share an interest in science communication and editing.
Training courses can be arranged, on science writing or journal editing for example. Anyone interested in hosting such a course should contact the Secretary.
EASE participated in an three day International Conference at the University of Bergamo, Italy (19-21 June 2014), organized by linguists and addressing the language of Medicine (Science, Practice and Academia).
Training workshops were held in September 2012 during the EASE Conference at Tallin: see here for details.
During the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF2010) in Turin, EASE organised an interesting and informative careers session titled "Misconduct in science communication and the role of editors as science gatekeepers" that covered various aspects of editing.
Seminars usually last for half or a full day. They may be held as part of a larger event, such as the EuroScience Open Forum. Anyone with an idea for an EASE Seminar or wishing to host a seminar should contact the Secretary.
