The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) is an internationally oriented community of individuals from diverse backgrounds, linguistic traditions and professional experience who share an interest in science communication and editing.
EASE has established a programme of Regional Chapters of the Association to facilitate interaction among editors within countries or groups of countries.
The programme is open to proposals: anyone interested should contact Ana Marusic (ana.marusic@mef.hr) or Eva Baranyiova (ebaranyi@seznam.cz).
The format and activities of each Chapter vary according to the interests of the members and the geographic size of the area covered.
The Chapters may meet one or more times a year, in addition to attendance at full EASE events. Such meetings could include formal seminars, workshops, a lecture and/or panel discussion or an informal social exchange of ideas.
The Chapters have to be self-supporting as no central funding is available. Each Chapter has a nominated Secretary who submits a biannual report on activities to the EASE Council.
